Call Alert Reviews has the latest information
and comparisons on Internet call alerts, online answering machines,
and how phone alerts work like caller ID.
Once I began exploring online call alerts and notifications,
I learned a lot about tools that do more than just tell you
when someone is trying to call you when you're online. In fact,
you never have to miss an important phone call when you use
a call alert service, and they work like caller id too. For
instance, some of these tools are full-fledged Internet voicemail
services, so you can get rid of your answering machine or the
voicemail service you got from your telephone call and replace
it with something more advanced.
If you only have one phone line, wouldn't you like to be notified
when you have an incoming call, so you can decide whether to
log off when you are online? Luckily, a number of companies
are offering software that lets you do just that - manage incoming
calls when you're online. You don't even need a second phone
line -- keep the one you have! (It's certainly easier on the
checkbook that way too!)
How many calls
have you missed because your phone line is tied up while you're
online?
That's why you should consider using a call alert service so
that you stop missing important calls when you're online. That's
just one reason you may want to consider using call alerts.
The companies and products I reviewed are AOL
Call Alert, Call
Wave, Pagoo,
and BuzMe.
They each offer basic features (like Caller ID alerts and Internet
answering machines) and some offer more robust call alert capabilities
than others. Most of the companies also have different levels
of products you can select, so you can find one to fit your
budget and needs. I don't like buying lots of computer gadgets
- I have a hard enough time using the VCR - so I only focus
on services I can buy online, and use without have to buy extra
equipment.
Be sure to check out the comparison
chart on call alerts, and our reviews (and rankings) of
online call alerts services. I believe the information I've
compiled will help you save time and money!
On some of the services I review, you can have your voicemail
send you an e-mail or contact you on your cell phone to let
you know that you have a new message. It's also easy to check
phone messages via the Web or remotely -- which helps for busy
families and especially for small businesses that need call
alerts.
It's actually pretty amazing what these technologies can do.
The best part might be that some of them are even free! Of course,
you usually get what you pay for, but then again, you might
be looking for basic functionality -- so check out our roundup
of free Internet Caller ID services.
